Cosmetology Instructor Curriculum

The curriculum for students enrolled in cosmetology instructor training at the master level at RSC must include at least nine months and 1500 hours of training as follows:

GENERAL EDUCATION - 400 Hours

Class instruction by a licensed instructor in the theory and practice of all required subjects of cosmetology

State Cosmetology Board requirements and record keeping

Salon management

Principles of teaching

TEACHING TECHNIQUES AND AUDIO VISUAL AIDS - 500 Hours

Lesson plans and presentations

Classroom management and discipline

Demonstrations and lecturing

Testing and examinations

PRACTICE TEACHING - 600 Hours

INSTRUCTOR TRAINEE SHALL BE FURNISHED AN INSTRUCTOR TRAINING MANUAL.

*RSC reserves the right to adjust all fees during the year should conditions warrant.

REFUND POLICY

Registration fees are not refunded unless the school cancels a class. Tuition may be refunded if:

1. A student has pre-registered, but cancels before classes begin (100% refund), or
2. A student cancels within 14 days of registration after classes begin (80% refund).
