Nail Care

Visit your manicurist, as prescribed, for your fill-in appointments. This should be between 2-4 weeks, depending on you nail growth. When the nail grows, the sculptured nail covering will move with it and there will be an area of uncoated nail that will need to be filled in with more sculptured nail material.

Regular fill-in appointments will keep your nails looking perfect all of the time and will prevent the chance of problems.

Remember: Your polish will never chip on your sculptured nails!

We recommend proper nutrition, low in sugar and fats, high in natural fibers, proteins, and fresh fruits and vegetables. A well-balanced diet will produce a stronger natural nail base and a healthier, rosier skin tone. Your sculptured nails are an enhancement of an already beautiful you!

Your manicurist was careful not to roughen or scratch your natural healthy nail plate with the emery board. Please take the same care with your nails by not biting or picking at the new covering. Your nails have been put on with the safest of chemicals which are not toxic or etching. However, if the chemical bonding is separated mechanically, i.e., pulling or chipping the material away, it can and will remove layers of your own nail. If you want the nails removed, it can be safely done with a soaking solution for twelve to fifteen minutes in the salon. Your manicurist will then give you and oil treatment to soften and care for your cuticle area.

NEVER use a mechanical adhesive under or on your sculptured nails! All glues are very toxic and damaging and worse of all...water soluble. By using glue under a sculptured nail, you take the chance of trapping fungi organism. Allow your manicurist to assist and use a preventative solution that will eliminate all bacteria and moisture from the nature nail under your sculptured nails. With proper application by your manicurist, there will never be a need for glues or adhesives. If you break a nail, call your manicurist, and arrange for a replacement.

Proper maintenance will result in total pleasure without unnecessary expense and problems.

If wearing nails for the first time, be extra aware of your new “extension” and treat them as jewels, not tools! No bailing hay, hoeing gardens or driving screws with your new nails. Follow some basic guidelines, using:

A pencil to dial the telephone.

Your knuckles on elevator buttons.

The pads of your fingers to pick things up.

The side of your finger on new “killer” car doors.

An opener, a key, sides of your fingers, or any flat strong object on pop top cans. (Be sure your soda is sugar free!)

An instrument to aid you in opening cartons or boxes.

A perfector to change the length or shape of your nails (available from your manicurist).
